Teen Innovation Summit Host
Jahkil Naeem Jackson
Jahkil, now 13, has a heartfelt desire to help those in need. After helping his aunt distribute food to the Chicago homeless, he knew that he wanted to do more to make a difference. It quickly became Jahkil’s mission to build awareness of homelessness and to help the homeless population by offering them what he calls “Blessing Bags,” a giveaway filled with wipes, socks, deodorant, hand sanitizer, granola bars, toothbrushes, toothpaste, bottled water, and more.
With the help of donors, family and friends, Project I Am has impacted over 50,000 men, women and children across the world. Recognized by President Obama, LeBron James, Steve Harvey, Nike, The Gap, Disney, Cartoon Network, CNN, BET, Baskin Robbins and many more, Jahkil Jackson will continue to engage youth and communities globally to impact change in our world.
Most notably, Jahkil has been acknowledged by President Barack Obama and the Obama Foundation as one of 2017 Most Influential people. Jahkil was also tapped to participate the GAP Teen campaign, Disney’s “Be Inspired” Black History Campaign, Cartoon Network’s “Drawn To” series, Lebron James’ #AlwaysBelieve campaign, Nike’s Future Varsity program and was a part of the Marvel Hero.
